This delightful rose was purchased in a bunch at South Kensington tube station one dark London evening from the Dutch flower seller. It is a florist's rose, and as such is of quite disciplined form, with a strong stem. The lovely muted pink has a hint of lavender blue about it, and there is something of an old-fashioned sense about the colour. Several of the petals have been touched by the green of the sepals.
